If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
yes
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I'm an ever learning roaster and barista. The job is never done, for me, its just beginning.
KwaZulu Natal Regional Barista Champion 2011
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Everywhere! I would like to gain more knowledge and experience in the world's of coffee and tea as well as spread my passion any place where people will listen to me ramble on and on and...
About Me:
I'm a coffee geek and I love Durban, whisky, t-shirts, oolong tea, beer, good food, other stuff, not necessarily in that order of course...
About My Company:
We're obsessed with coffee. We're a 90year old micro-roastery and tea blender.
I started revamping Colombo (http://www.colombo.co.za) in 2008 and its been an incredible journey into speciality coffee & tea.
Its an old family business (not my family) and when I walked in to start marketing the company it was running very slowly - sort of missing the point of coffee.I've put together a young team, and we're still changing the average person's perceptions about coffee in South Africa.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
Caffeine. Haha! The attitudes of passionate people, the smiles you get from people who can see you are crazy.
Hey Kyle, thanks for the adding, I can help you for your visit and tour to our fincas , we are not a travel agency or so , we just have the faclities and the plantation, let me know what are your plans, budget and dates and how many people. You have two options:
1. Stay at the plantation hotel, which is a 5 star hotel, go to my page to check the rates.-
2. or stay at a house in town which is 10 minutes from the plantation, this is a great choice if you come as a group and you don't want to spend a lot of money per day.-
go to http://www.kafesguatemala.com/hotelpnr.html for hotel prices and packages.
Yes Kyle if you stay in the house, you will really live the GUATEMALAN Experience , I can even arrange a cook to prepare for you guys real Guatemalan meals, and therefor you don't spend to much $$$$ in food as well, do you have an email where I can send you pics of the house???? let me know mate
