With half your head cut off in your profile picture I cannot quiet tell, but I think you're the guy that pulled my girlfriend and I shots of Ecco's Reserve last Sunday. Just wanted to say that espresso was an excellent finish to our Minnesota visit before heading back to Iowa City. Thanks!
  • Branden Byers

Yep, that was us! As for coffee here, there's not much right now in this small college town but that is slowly changing. That's why I have my home espresso set-up to get me by till I graduate. The only good espresso is at my friend's shop about 30min away. Maybe I'll run into you again in May when I'm up there for the convention.

Hey we are having a showcase of local hometown talent at our booth #1406- I wanted to make sure I asked you ( I do not your email)- if you might want to come by an work on a GS3, or showcase a signature drink- but I understand if you are totally wiped with the USBC. Let me know.. thanks
    Gina

Dude, thanks for the great experience at Kopplins. It was just the thing all us burnt out competition trolls needed. Love the steez...piston wipe.
  • Michelle

Yes, long time indeed. I have been spending some time in Lincoln, NE, learning to roast coffee and then am off on a tour de force of the west (attempting to find a warm place to call home). What have you been up to? How is the home of the Twin Cities going?
  • Eric Faust

    Hi Andrew,
I am working on an article for Twin Cities Imbiber and have a few questions about your performance at the USBC. The article will feature you and the two other Minnesota baristas that competed; Adam Palmer and Peter Middlecamp. I remember your performance (especially the taste of the S.O. espresso), but need to know a few specifics. Send me the following when you have a chance. Thanks.

    1. The name of your signature drink.
    2. Description of your signature drink and the origins of the idea.
    3. The espresso that was used.
    4. The amount of time you spent training and the a short description of how you trained.
    5. Other competition appearances.
    6. Anything else about how you felt about the competition this year or how you felt about your performance.

I am sure you will see me around Kopplin's in the near future, I recently moved back to the twin cities.
  • Michelle

    What's shakin' up north?
  • Eric Faust

It was sad to hear that you left the Minnesota; your talents will be missed. I am sure that our paths will cross again. Let me know where I can find you behind the bar, I am always looking for a reason to go to Seattle.
  • Mike Cannon

It was a pleasure briefly meeting you at the Victrola party! Watching you pour was totally a highlight for me that night.
  • Mike Cannon

I'm working for the Olympia Coffee Roasting Company, right next door to Espresso Parts NW. Which shop up North are you holding it down?
  • Shawn

How's Seattle treatin' ya? For a brief moment the Twin Cities had a nice coffee buzz goin'. I often blame you and Pat for killing it.

    Miss you guys. Take care.
  • Michelle

Will you be at the USBC, sir?
  • Michelle

Yes! I will be judging - it should be a good time. Let's meet up!
  • Shawn

Hey, man. Our shop fell through so Megan and I switched our focus to roasting. Jamin and Amanda helped us pick oot some nice greens and, BAM!, we got our first farmers' market thing this Saturday. We're focusing on Farmers' Markets and home delivery (via web sales).
