Many Thanks Mike, I have fun in the espresso machine add-on business and can claim a few toys as a business expense>>>
I am enjoying your photo posts as I type. The Pedal Truck is the greatest! Now all you need is a gas fired lever machine to go with it!

Thanks for the kind words. I am looking forward to hearing from others who feel the same way about coffee and fair trade. I see you were at Coffeefest. I was there for the first time and brought a couple of my baristas too. We were even at the party at Trabant... so we crossed paths a few times and did not know it. I hope to have my baristas doing latte art. Have a great day.

I looked at your site. Are you content where you are? I am looking for people to commit to coffee entirely I have spent 29 years and that is full on coffee production from tree to cup. not just working in a store on and off for a season or two. Tell me about your 15 years experience in detail. That would have made you 19 to start what is the 15 year background>
You can see mine by the pictures. I know people all over the coffee world.
    contact me.
I see you contact donut Dave I know him.

Alfred of course roasted for the first Starbucks and he was a dark roast advocate but he always told me roast your coffees 5 different roasts and pick the one that brings out the flavor you want. But always try it darker. I have followed his advice but most of my coffees are not real dark unless it can handle it
  • Perrys

Its in the center of Athens and its called Zonars.

Mike.......thanks for the response. Good deal on your background in MV. Actually, we lived for 34 years in West Claremont, just South of Web School. I know the Pomona Valley to SBern like the back of my fat, chubby hand. Only moved to OC because of the two daughters moving down there. I appreciate the willingness to go for the global view on coffee. It's truly an international industry. I'd really like to visit with you and chat. My background, like alot of coffeetypes, is pretty diverse. My technical backgrounds include electronics, ham radio KG6ML, commercial photography after combat photo during Vietnam, tool guy and general techni when it comes to anything electro-mechanical. I pay the bills by being a marketing and sales type, but enjoy using my avocations to make the day go faster. I'm working on a US based retail coffee thing now, and also working on a new coffee product. This is still my hobby-avocation, but I aspire to do the "Harlan Sanders - KFC", late in life leap to world success as soon as possible. My email is alsterling@earthlink.net and phone is 949-305-0488. Again, I'd like to chat if you have some time.

It's just that I am very skeptical about any claims of stability. It is comforting that many more models are getting there.

  • Keelan Vanvales

Hey Mike, what's happening? You are probably doing well. Right now, you are probably at your laptop eating a carne asada burrito or ground beef nachos from Olas. Also, you might not even eat that, you might just have a bran muffin from your pastry case or a crusty danish. Anyways, hit me up man and we shall stay in contact this way.
  • Keelan Vanvales

"I say nothing, I say nothing." "She makes people come and see... all the time all the time." Music such as these lines Mike gets really old really fast. You need more music off of Pandora. Please do this for your loyal customer. Hahaha I am just kidding. But on a serious note, I am glad there is more of a necletic mix of music at element nowadays. Keep up the great work Mike.
  • Keelan Vanvales

Mike, hey there again buddy. Hopefully you are enjoying watching reruns of corny tv shows. Also, please understand that this is me joking. Hahaha, well sometimes you cannot take life too seriously. You will just wear yourself down. Well take care, this is from your loyal customer Keelan.
  • Keelan Vanvales

Mike you are a funny individual. Thank you for always having a good sense of humor. I am very proud of you, keep up the good work.

Love Removal Machine himself? Brother Wolf's sidekick? Hot Damn!
I used to have the Mickey Mouse Skull from the Death Cult drawn on an old Ike style WWII jacket.
You always put a smile on my face, Mike. Thanks

Mike- I pulled the trigger on cereal and it is soooooo fun to watch how people react. We created something called the "Cereal Killer", which is any bowl of cereal with a double shot of espresso added to the milk. I did it as a joke, but with Cocoa Puffs- it is amazing. People are already addicted and jonesing. You should try it. See you in the next few day. Oh- nice page pimping.
