Scott hope to see u on the coffee fest Guatemala, let me know if u would like to visit a plantation, I will be at coffee fest as well.- I will email you my cell phone number so u can contact me.-
Things are nifty... Could use more foot traffic on the weekends. I find myself pouring drinks just to experiment more often than I do for customer consumption on Saturdays and Sundays.
These things will change. Who knows. If Driade or Open Eye need a shift covered or anything, let me know.
Good seeing you too, although it seems like a blur. Congrats on getting WBC certified. Give Josh and I a heads up on when you're coming in for the MWRBC, we're looking forward to it. Happy Holidays
yeah, corwen and i see each other at a shop around here on a semi regular basis. and james has been bouncing around the state/country to i rarely see him anymore. but he and i hung out a good bit over the summer.
Yep, in Portland for 3 weeks, then NYC for the Ultimate Barista Challenge! This is the longest time home in about 6 months, all good stuff. Snowed yesterday!
Hey Scott - Thanks for your contribution to this weekend and I have that "item" for you! Let me know if you will be in the ATL again soon or if I should try to ship it - either way. I am glad that it will go to good use. See you in a few weeks. All the best - Heather
I am not sure you remember me. I own The Roastery in Minneapolis.
My question is wether you know if there will be any judging workshops in Atlanta?
I need to keep going up this ladder and learning more about this side of the coffee world.
You must come to the nordic... to much fun, or so I have been told... It would also be fun to meet you :) and i hope the turn out to the nordic will be good.
I have a friend and his family coming through town on Saturday evening so there's a good chance I won't be able to make it up your way. I would bring them by but they have small kids. If I can't make it up later in the evening I'll probably have to catch up with you when you get back. Have a good conference.
We had the best harvest, we won the best Antigua region cup 2009. Let me know mate if u go to Vegas then. Yes let's tay in touch for possible tours, now I have access to a house in Antigua for groups and prices as so cheap compare to a hotel or so. We have a cook and so on and the house is like 10 min from the finca.-

Hi Scott,
I am helping a friend get ready to compete in a few months and I am looking for a few knowledgeable folks in different aspects of competition. If you have time to answer a few questions at some point in the next few weeks I would be very grateful. We have some experienced competitors helping us out already but could probably use the insight of a judge as well.
Thanks,
Ben
hey scott, thanks for reaching out. Yes I am looking for a good place to order these. I know a little bit about you guys from visiting Morning Times in downtown Raleigh. send me an email at atcash@mac.com if you have quotes and I will take a look and get back to you. Thanks!
hello, i just came back yo my country. im very prod/&happy to bring a lot of ideas to my company.
i hope to see you as soon as possible in august.
greetings to everybody, nancy
Hey Scott! I will be in Apex for the weekend of the 12th this month. Definately stopping by your cafe to check it out while I'm in town. Hope you're doing well!
Hi Scott, we ended up tapping local resources for most questions but I do appreciate your offer to help. Rob ended up coming in 4th with a score of 599. He currently has the 5th highest score in the country, (with one more region to compete.) Hope to see you at a future WBC.
First, my drink of choice is a straight double espresso so I'm that is what I'm basing my answer on.
The best place is Square One Coffee in downtown Lancaster, which is down the road 20 minutes from E-town. They roast their own coffee and the do have a website.
Lebanon doesn't really have any outstanding coffee shops, but Cumberland Coffee and Tea isn't too bad. They get their coffee from Kaffe Magnum Opus.
The other "acceptable" place is St. Thomas Roasters in Harrisburg. They also roast their own beans. Not really great espresso drinks, but good coffee.
Hope that helps! When was the last time you were in the area?
Hi Scott, thanks for the welcome! We are a fairly new shop with eager to learn Baristas. We have all been working on presentation and latte art. I had one Barista compete in town locally just last week. I was proud that he gave it a shot. We would like to get to a place where we could host informal barista competitions between other shops in the area. I think it would be a fun experience for our employees and the customers. We are in the learning phase right now. Any general advice is always welcome! I will have to come check out your shop sometime. Looks like you have been around awhile!
Yes, I will be in from 11 'til about 3 for sure, but I can plan to be there at other times if you know when you might stop by. Let me know if you can stop by, I look forward to meeting you.
