If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
yes
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
Our shop is in a small city, pretty busy, very friendly. We're constantly growing in our knowledge. In the past year we've gone from rarely putting out a drink with latte art to almost every drink with decent art of some kind. I've recently found my passion for the craft and I'm trying to overload on as much information as possible. I'm currently preparing for regional competition especially for the experience since I want to start dipping further into the professional aspects of being a barista.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
I love Europe, Berlin and Paris especially. I'm also very interested in the west coast of the US, but I love culture so anywhere!
About Me:
I'm co-manager/barista at the peekskill coffee house. I'm trying to be the one that introduces the shop to the professional barista community, knowing that there's only bigger and better things to come. I have a long way to go but I've definitely decided that my job is no longer just a job but a hobby and a passion.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
Turning a caffeine fix into something that blows someone away, whether it's the taste or the presentation.
Thanks! I wish I had one to use all the time, but if I want that to happen I have to buy it myself. Not going to happen. Are you going to the Barista Jam in Easton, PA? Hopefully I can make it.
