About Me:
COFFEE SIDE OF THINGS
Spent the last year learning to roast and perfecting my barista skills with Chipironi Mountain Coffee in Toowoomba, QLD, Australia. Have decided to go out on my own. Yahoo!! I live in a town with a small percentage of the popullation that appreciate espresso and the art of coffee making. This, I believe is owing to the lack of espresso establishments commitment to quality, service and price. I believe the love of espresso is not growing because there are no baristas in my town that love to make espresso. I want to change that...
OTHER SIDE OF THINGS
I love the Lord Jesus Christ along with my wife, soon to be born baby girl and the rest of my family and friends. Love to make short films, sport, write music and make people laugh (especially with coffee sattire).
About My Company:
We are a young cafe seeking to learn and perfect espresso.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
We have not had any problems from the council, the exhaust is (or will be) hooked in to a commercial exhaust fan that was used for deep-fryers etc. We are only using a 2kg machine so it is not a real issue.
I received 1/2 a ton of beans today so we will have to get it fired up soon.
Hey Tim, I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you!! Back to Earth. I would love to comment on your question. I have done a lot of research by using the syphon process and I've found that The Japanese Syphons work great too. In fact I prefer them. I've found Kenya AA, a Nicaraguan s origin, which has a very floral nose and hints acidity that taste like grapefruit. I also like putting my espresso blend for caramel and milk chocolate. To tell you the truth, I really haven't a had A bad cup out of the syphons. Roaster's always have the finger on the pulse of what tastes the best through different brewing methods. Keep brewing and I guarantee you will find The right coffee. Single origin. Thanks!
