Moved back to being a "hobbyist" vs. working hands-on in the business. Now run a business consultancy and have a few companies that we have helped in our investment portfolio.

Self taught. Started with crappy pump machines, and geeked out on Pavonis. 15 minutes of fave from creating decade old http://www.gurus.net/pavoni Now on basic E61 machines and saving for a La Marzococco GS3 (what a dream!). Have run corporate "big chain" shops and still feel a bit dirty about it. :-) Into roasting.
