If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
maybe
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
To Starbucks' credit, I did learn a few things about coffee. I had the distinct displeasure of working for them for 3.5 years.
Beyond that, I have worked at Perks Cafe in the UCSD Bookstore for the past year and have really learned a lot more. We serve Barefoot Coffee here. Excellent stuff! They have also been exceedingly generous with their time and expertise. From them I have learned about proper espresso making techniques, milk steaming and latte art. I'm still working on the latte art, but I can safely say I make a mean cappuccino. Thanks Barefoot! :D
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
...let's put it this way, I would not wish to visit Iraq or Iran at the moment. Everywhere else is cool. I would absolutely love to visit Japan and Italy.
About Me:
I am a husband and father (6 year old daughter), an artist (drawing since I could hold a pencil), a student (The Art Institute of California), and part-time web designer (It's what I'm going to school for...) And I love coffee....mmmm.....cooooooffffffeeeeeee......
About My Company:
I work for a cafe called Perks. Located in the UCSD Bookstore. It's pretty sweet. Lately I have been seriously thinking about opening up my own cafe. Not sure how the financial stuff would work out, but it's a pleasant dream at the moment....We'll see where I'm at a year from now.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
Coffee....The people....Coffee....Diversity....Coffee....The atmosphere...Did I mention coffee?
