If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
yes
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I started as a barista in highschool, continuing while I was in business school and, when I finished college, took a managers position at a busy coffee shop in downtown Richmond. From there I helped to open a cafe space in a gallery/music venue and then opened a small shop with another roaster. After about a year of working together I decided to concentrate on the roasting aspect with the idea of eventually meeting the farmers. After attending Coffee Fest DC last year I was even more enthralled with the notion of meeting the growers and so I sold my half of the shop and now own a very small roaster and am almost ready to go.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
everywhere, anywhere.
About Me:
I have been doing coffee for nearly ten years, I still don't know enough. I've had the idea of having my own shop from the point that I was old enough to palate the drink and now, after doing just that for a bit(owning a shop), I would rather concentrate on roasting and the growers. A common enough idea but not, ironically, something easy to get into.
About My Company:
It's almost there.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
The details. The smell. The kind of people it attracts.
