Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I manage Awake Café inside Triad Baptist Church. Our church has about 1,500 members, and about all of them love coffee. The church loves the coffee for several reasons, one, all profit is donated to our mission programs, and two, people love to have coffee and be social at church. The coffee shop is getting busier and busier every Sunday. the church just built Awake Café a new room, in the last year, dedicated to only coffee.
My Barista Skills started when i began working at a local Smoothie/coffee shop called Juicy Java. I hated coffee when I first started working there. The more and more I started to smell it, the more I fell in love with it, and I am now, espresso is my favorite coffee to drink. My love for coffee has always been growing since then, and I want to learn as much as I can. The more I study the coffee world, the bigger it seems to get. Quite simply, I love being a fun, friendly, and professional barista.
