If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
yes
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
As a student and writer I used to simply be a fan of coffee and coffee shops, so I have frequented many of the best cafes in Seattle. As I started to become opinionated about coffee, I thought maybe I'd try out being a barista part time, which I have enjoyed more than I expected. So now I am working on learning how to make the great coffee that I had become a fan of and looking to build a more serious career in the coffee industry.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala (I plan on moving to one of these countries in early 2009 for a personal trip lasting at least a few months).
Also Austin Texas.
About Me:
If I am going to be a barista, I want to be a badass barista and work with a badass company (still working on the second two qualities)
About My Company:
I work at a decent little shop near greenlake, which was a good entry level position and a good spot to learn the ropes. Hopefully I'll move on to a more serious coffee establishment soon.
In the meantime I am doing some work as an marketing intern with Caffe Vita, which I am stoked about.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
How great espresso and a nice shop can create a creative and inspiring envirnonment
