About Me:
I started working at MilkBoy Coffee in Ardmore, PA about 4 years ago. MilkBoy used Counter Culture Coffee and their training and the skills I learned made me fall in love with being a barista. Then it was time for a change so from there I moved to Nantucket, MA and worked at a small coffee shop called The Bean which had their own private roastery run by the owner, Wes. The move to Beaver Creek, CO brought all new adventures and the desire to make coffee, yet again. I'm currently working at Loaded Joe's in both Avon and Vail, CO. We get our coffee from Rococo. I'm looking to move forward in this industry and hopefully open up my own cafe one day.
About My Company:
Loaded Joe's is an independently owned coffee lounge located in both Avon and Vail, Colorado. It's a place for the local crowd to come and hang out with their favorite baristas! At night, the coffeehouse turns itself into a bar. Live music, trivia night, free dance and a variety of alcoholic bevs makes this place a real people pleaser. I liked to hang out there even before I started the job and I still enjoy my time spent there.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
The variety of flavors and the latte art. Communication and networking with people.
