If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
yes
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I used to work in a kind of hole-in-the-wall coffee shop that isn't really doing as it should. I don't know a whole lot about coffee, certainly not as much as I would like to, but I know that the practices weren't what they should have been. I have gotten some help and training from my brother-in-law, but no formal training. I practice what barista skills I can at home and am currently a happy home barista, searching for a job that will allow me to practice and grow in the coffee biz. =)
About Me:
I have only just begun to learn about coffee and already love it. The more I learn, the more I want to discover. I want this to be my future career and passion. Although I lack formal training, I will continue to learn what I can while looking for opportunities to practice and define my barista skills. I am lucky enough to have a couple of coffee-centric people in my life to help grow my interest and expand my knowledge.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
I love that no matter how long a person is in this industry, they never stop learning, they never get bored, and there is always an opportunity to be pleasantly surprised about something very familiar.
