what can i say here... i've been working in the coffee business since i was 16 years old. once having my first cup of good coffee i was sold, and haven't looked back since.

in 2003 i was fortunate enough to join an amazing team of insanely passionate coffee crazed people at the java house in iowa city. whom only wanted to learn more, and help the company grow. from then untill the fall of 2008 i helped the company grow from three locations to eight.

from managing smaller locations, to helping manage the beasts, as we liked to call the very busy locations. from around 2004 on i was espresso training hundreds of new baristas at all locations on la marzoccos mainly. and yes some frankes too. the story goes on and on..

honestly there really has not been a lot i haven't done. apart from roasting i've had my hand in most of it all from bar, operations, managing, new drink development, cupping, training, machine repairs, general maintenance, inventory, warehouse, delivery driver, you get the just of it.

it's who i am, and what i love.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
seattle, portland, new york, who knows!

Jess! Had fun tasting out that espresso with Justin today. I used that amaro gayo in my competition blend as well. Good Stuff. I will roast up some of Aida's Grand Reserve tonight so Justin can bring it back with him. Not sure if you have tried it yet but it is the BEST F'ING CENTRAL AMERICAN EVER! If not the BEST coffee ever. Seriously...beats the snot out of stupid overpriced rip-off Geisha.
