Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
My first job was at a small coffee shop in Southern California when I was 15. As soon as I learned how to make drinks and steam milk and felt the rush of when there's a line to door, I was hooked. I love it. Even now if Im on vacation and I come back and I get on bar, Its such a great feeling. To be bustin out drinks and making a good product is so much
fun. So needless to say Ive been a barista ever since.
About Me:
Coffee is my passion. I love being challenged, I love working with people. I never want to stop learning. I have a strong determination to do the best I can.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
I love how you can always learn more. No one will ever know every thing there is to know about coffee and how it grows or how to pull the perfect shot. There's always room to grow And there's someone else out there that can teach you.

Awesome, I'll be seeing you soon then. I'm actually not sure what shifts I'll be working next week, but I've been working 2nd St. mornings, but not sure with new years and all... I'll see you even if we don't get to work together though :D Talk to you soon!

OMG Sam, I just realized I missed you when you were in San Fran! :( I feel really bad. I'd like to catch up when you're free. My car was stolen less than 12 hours after moving to Cali, and I JUST got it back today! 3 weeks and one day later. Bastards! Anyway, I've been preoccupied with job hunts (got one yesterday) and searching for my car, so there's my excuse for not connecting with you. Hope it's good enough, and I look forward to hearing how you are. Miss ya!

Hi Samantha, Thanks for sending me the email letting me know that you are still
working for Ruben at Vince's Coffee, Renton, Washington. Sarah had told me that
she was able to help you get the barista job. I met Vince before he had a location.
He asked me to help him find a good location in the Renton area, if possible.
I saw the location and met with the landlord and eventually introduced him to
Ruben. Ruben was able to negotiate a rent agreement and the rest is history 8-).
Anyway, one day Ruben let me know he wanted to add someone sharp to his
staff of baristas. I announced his needs in one of our staff meetings. Sarah was
there, she met you and introduced you to Ruben. Sarah kept me in the loop
so I knew you were there. I am glad that it worked out well for you.
