About Me:

I live in Athens, GA, but I'm originally from about 30 minutes west of there. I got involved in the coffee industry when I took a college job as a barista when I lived in Columbus, GA. Since then I've worked in a few shops, but I now also work for a local roasting company called 1000Faces as a trainer. That being said, I'm really enthusiastic about coffee, but I really just enjoy learning as much as I can, and I've got a lot to learn. I'm also into Spanish and music.

About My Company:

1000Faces is a local specialty roaster located at 585 Barber St. in Athens, Ga. We roast on a Diedrich IR 12 in 20 lb batches that are regularly cupped the day after the roast to ensure quality. We're growing. It's nice to have a smaller sized clientele for now, but we're still able to rock out some amazing coffees.

Two Story Coffeehouse is located on S. Lumpkin St. across from Earth Fare grocery in 5 points, Athens, Ga. Mythos and Aurelia combo, manual pour over drip and french press. Traditional espresso drinks plus flavored lattes as well as some typical nonsensical coffee shop drinks. We focus on our patronage by working to create lasting relationships with the consumer using coffee as the medium. Really wonderful people.

What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?

Humble collaborative education and transparent relationships. Also the taste of rockin espresso.
