About Me:
I am a 20 year old barista saving my way to college to major in Graphic Design. I started my coffee experience at Dancing Goats Espresso(Batdorf&Bronson) in Olympia, WA. My sister was a barista there for several years before me. I took her job when she moved to Seattle for Grad school at UW. Her regulars were quite pleased at the fact that her replacement was her closest blood relative :) From there I moved on to the oh-so corporate Starbucks. Dun Dun Dunnnn. Where I eventually trained to become a shift supervisor. Didn't quite make it though. Couldn't handle the automatic machines and fake "connections". After taking some time off work I got a job at Forza Coffee Company. Decent coffee. Slow business. I quit to work at my current job: S&J's Caffe Express in Tumwater, WA. Great people. Great tips. Dominics is not my personal favorite roaster but I love my job and still work a shift at Dancing Goats once and a while to feed my creative soul :)
About My Company:
S&J's Caffe Express is the oldest drive thru stand in the Olympia area. It started as a coffee cart outside of a local grocery store that is now an Ace Hardware in Southgate Mall due to corporate takeover in Tumwater. When Scott and Julie Gubbe sold their grocery store, they built 2 permenant stands. One in Lacey, and one in Tumwater. Originally serving Batdorf&Bronson they made the switch to Dominics a few years ago.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
Latte Art

Hi Emily. Colorado is a hotbed for coffee. We are the next thing to blow up and I'm stoked to be a part of it! Come to Denver you must, we rock out here! Tell your friend to be careful in the Boulder market, we're saturated to hell and running out of room for newbies. Get him/her in touch with me for some advice. You too. :) I'll give ya the skinny on the CO scene, email me: lefcourtg@hotmail.com. Buenos.
