Hi Ken

Thanks!
Any question please feel free to ask!
My original BP or thought was to open a cafe. I looked at the investment and decided to scale back & start out as a roaster, for me it ended up being the best move.
We hope to open a cafe in the next year or so. It is something we are moving slowly towards.

Hi Ken,

Here is an edited version of the agreement that we issued. We did not go through a lawyer or anything. This is just something I wrote up for investors that know us personally. For a major investor that doesn't know you, they'll likely need something a bit different than this. Let me know if you have any other questions.

This agreement is between __cafe____ and __investor___. Herein ___cafe____ will be represented by __owner__. The terms of the agreement are as follows.

The sum of $---- will be invested by ___investor__ for a term of three (3) years commencing on April 1st, 2010. On or before the first of April per annum until the expiration of the term 10% ($---) of the invested amount will be paid to ___investor___. The first ROI will be paid on or before April 1, 2011. ___cafe____ reserves the right to pay out the full capital before the the end of the third year. If the capital is repaid prior to the end of the term, returns will be paid out in full reflecting the value of the agreement. The value of the agreement is as follows.
Initial investment of $---- CAD. Annual returns of 10% ($----). Total term earnings of $----- CAD. The total amount paid, including the return of initial investment will be $----- CAD.

Should __cafe__ go out of business, assets will be sold in order to repay the capital invested, however returns on investment will cease immediately.

Hi Ken,
Best wishes with your new venture. Follow your dreams no matter what. I'd love to help in any way I can. Don't hesitate to ask questions of any kind. I will do my best to answer. I live eat and breathe coffee in any form. I feel I am morphing into a coffee plant as I grow older. I want to know I will give pleasure to many human beings and my off spring will grow up to do the same. ;^)

Good luck in making JavaJerk a reality. Be prepared for a long hard road. But if your passion for all that is coffee is strong enough, nothing can stop you.
