The Bean There roastery and espresso bar is designed to encourage gentle comfort while offering the opportunity to discover more about coffee. It is a merger of the old and the new; the old world of the African adventure and the new representing the hope we have for this great continent. The roastery is a story book; the walls are covered with photographs of the very men and women who have carefully nurtured the fine coffee beans we enjoy and each coffee has been carefully and personally selected for you to know a country through its coffee.
About Me:
I started Bean There Coffee Company with my brother Jonathan in 2005. It is his dream to establish the fair trade coffee industry in South Africa specialising in African beans. I am helping him work toward this goal while studying Political Science and writing.
About My Company:
Inspired by the principles of direct fair trade, Bean There Coffee Company began several years ago with the goal of building beneficial relationships with Africa’s coffee farmers and their communities. The dream is to bring the world’s most exclusive coffee to South Africa through fair trade; that coffee is undoubtedly African!
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
The diversity and endless list of things to learn and understand.
