I would recommend a trip to Berastagi. Its a couple of hours from Medan and was at one stage a Dutch resort town as well as a plantation center. Its not too difficult to get too and has quite a few expats scattered around. If (he/she?) is an experienced Indo traveller and has more time- then exploring the Lintong/Sidikalang growing areas or even, at a stretch, Aceh.

Yeah he (Adam) skyped me tonight. He was really impressed. He's no coffee expert but has a good palette and is pretty hard to please so thumbs up there. He'll be back for sure. Thanks for hooking him up. How is it coming along?

Living the dream bro. Awesome good for you. Seems like you're generating some positive vibes in the area.
Just sent an email out to my London people to get on down there.

EXCELLENT! Can feel the anticipation building from here. i "hear" (and no disrespect intended for the UK BX'ers) that kiwis and aussies are struggling to find a coffee that suits in London. I "hear" there is one place, appropriately named 'Flatwhite' which is good
