If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
yes
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
have worked for a handful of shops starting out at a Cutters Point, moving to Starbucks for a while, then worked for a small independent shop for three months before working with Zoka for two years. Enjoy the process of making great drinks, the whole routine of grind, dose, tamp, and extract. My other favorite part is serving a great product to customers. I geek out over espresso theory and cupping. I freaking love cupping.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
San Francisco, New York of course, Denver and Chicago.
About Me:
I am an undergrad in ceramics at the University of Washington in Seattle. I have been a barista for three and a half years at various shops. I am a huge foodie and love going out to eat and sharing meals with good friends. I also love wine and cocktail culture, pretty much anything that involves drinking, eating, and evaluating. I really enjoy making art. I use to be more centered on pottery, but as of late I am trying to teach myself how to draw and thinking about using more mixed media for my upcoming ideas. I enjoy walks in the sun (because I have that here in seattle... the sun)and just hanging out.
About My Company:
I am the acting vice president of operations for the Daniel Skiffington Institute for the Advancement of Global Warming, also known as... DSIAGW.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
the ever present challenge of pulling a great espresso shot, meeting and working with cool and interesting people.
