I run the coffee side of a small cafe inside Wieden + Kennedy Portland.

About Me:
I'm a barista and an Animator. I grew up in Vida, Oregon, I don't expect you to have heard of it. Most of the people in the next town over don't know it's there either...I love to cook and experiment with recipes. I draw and read voraciously, and I play rugby whenever I can.

I love to experiment with espresso, the environment I work in is really pro-exploration (I mean, there's a wall mural that says "Fail Harder" on it made out of thumb tacks...)
About My Company:
Side Plate is a new coffee shop with a pretty limited clientele...Cooky and I are really looking forward to lots of menu customization and rolling out lots of specials. I'm excited to see how things work out. Week one...great success!

My current mission: Convincing the owner to buy better espresso...which is, coincidentally, cheaper than what he insists on buying now. Seems like a win/win...right?
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
The passion. The taste isn't too bad either.

I will have trouble putting my shop with foot traffic becasue, everyone drives in north carolina. So i will have to look for a high traffic area. I know mc donalds uses satalites. i am not 100% sure how to pick the best spot but i will look.
