Dancing Goat Coffee Company was founded by Regina Alleman a Registered Nurse with an interest in global health. Regina traveled to South Africa in 2005 to study HIV/AIDS and she knew her life would never be the same. It was at Valley Trust, The Don McKenzie TB Clinic in Ethembeni that Dr. Steve Reed of Harvard Medical School posed the question to Regina; “How will you now respond to what you have seen with your own eyes?” Returning to the United States the question haunted her for three years, until the vision of combining her interest in global health, farming, environmental sustainability and coffee merged into Dancing Goat Coffee Company: Coffee with a Cause, where a percentage of profits are returned to local villages in developing countries to promote health, fair trade and sustainability.
About My Company:
Coffee is our passion and helping global communities become self sustaining is our cause! We specialize in organic, fair trade green coffee beans and roast each bean to perfection. We believe our customer’s care about quality coffee and the quality of life of people in developing countries. It is this philosophy that makes Dancing Goat: Coffee with a Cause different.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
The people.
