If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
yes
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I am proudly a part of Bongo Java here in Nashville, TN. I thrive off the rush of a sleuth of drinks and the focus put into every shot of espresso, every pitcher of steamed milk, and every relationship formed by sharing this powerful medium call, coffee.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
I'm a born nomad. Home will never be in one place. I am drawn most to the pacific northwest but enjoy the east as well. Nashville is a recent adventure i've embarked on temporarily but plan to leave once adventure beckons me.
About Me:
I grew up in small town Indiana and learned coffee through my first barista position at Payne's coffee. Nashville has many attributes that fit me well with a vibrant music scene (outside of country) and it's fair share of used record stores. I enjoy cycling and regularly visiting other coffee shops in the greater Nashville area.
About My Company:
We started in 1993 with a single cafe called Bongo Java and have since added other coffee and food operations. We now unofficially call our entire operation Bongo World.
Bongo World consists of four cafes and a wholesale coffee roasting company. Each store has its own personality, look and menu. Overall, the company seeks to serve high-quality coffee and food in unique, comfortable atmospheres. We also have a commitment to sustainability. Thus, our coffee is 100% organic, bought directly from small-farmer cooperatives under the terms of Fair Trade.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
I'm continually fascinated by how many people are involved from start to finish.
