2 (THAT'S 2 IN SANDY HON YEARS)
If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
maybe
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
We are opening the first Caribou Coffee in Topeka. Previous to that I had the fortune to work under Sandy Hon who introduced me to the ways of through-and-through serious espresso.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Everywhere and anywhere I am able to!
About Me:
I am originally form Honduras and have been living in the Kansas City area for most of the past 11 years. I originally went into Hotel and Food and Beverage Management and worked for Marriott (aka: the man) for four years. Then I acknowledged it was fun yet largely unfulfilling. That's how I came back to KC in '06 on a self-prescribed academic soul-searching mission. Later that summer I found my answer, not in any of my textbooks --but in what stained their pages: Coffee.
About My Company:
We are gonna be located inside the first Hy-Vee in town. This is the product of a nascent partnership between Caribou and Hy-Vee. I am looking forward to building and shaping a quality and service-focused team that will do right by our craft and make the industry proud.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
It has soul!!! Much like a whole fried catfish, followed by a steaming peach cobler and live jazz!
