About Me:
I have professionally been a Barista for the last 10 years. I began my career with Diedrich Coffee on April 18,1998, but on January 29, 2007 I closed my location for the last time. Two months prior to our close I received a phone call from a Peet's recruiter. We agreed to terms and since February 5, 2007 I have proudly continued to dedicate myself to the art and skill of Barista artisanship. In my early years as a Barista I prided myself on being the fastest at my craft, but as I gathered more knowledge about the history and artisanship involved in the Barista craft I started to look for more ways to expand my skill as a Barista. These skills include but are not limited to speed, consistancy, cleanliness, understanding, presentation, and guest interaction.
About My Company:
I work for Peet's Coffee & Tea which prides itself on the continual push to educate our customers about the importance of proper roast and brewing methods. We were also part of the original founding members of the S.C.A.A.. Peet's was founded in 1966 by Alfred Peet.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
Adrian..... where are you barista'ing now? I'm in MViejo. Last time I stopped at a Peet's was in Laguna Niguel near Monarch Beach. (alsterling@earthlink.net)
