Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I have been working at a small coffee shop for two years. I can pull a good, consistent shot with thick crema. I can make microfoam and I am improving my latte art. I also enjoy customer service and interacting with my regulars.
I love that coffee covers everything from culture to chemistry, culinary arts to global economy. I want to learn a bit about every aspect.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
I am interested in traveling anywhere in the contiguous United States. I am most interested in spending a few weeks in any given place and learning as much as I can from as many different people.
In September 2010 I will be heading to Idaho, Montana, the Dakotas and then on eastward.
About Me:
I am easy going, flexible and learn quickly. I am a nerd, and love learning about the more technical aspects of coffee and espresso. I love coffee and know that I have so much more to learn, so I am eager to listen and learn from those with knowledge to share.
Right now my strong points are customer service and a smattering of random coffee facts. My weak point is my palate, I am working on being more analytical when I taste my coffee but most days it is still: I like this, I don't like that.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
There is so much to learn plus I just love coffee.
