    About Me:

I'm a home espresso enthusiast for about 3-4 years. Started with cheap equipment and preground beans, and worked my way up to having a 1-group Nuova Simonelli Mac Cup, a Macap M7KR conical burr grinder, and a mismatched, eclectic collection of cups, saucers, and tampers. I order beans from various roasters, my faves are vivace, counterculture, intelly, paradise, klatch, and starbucks. ha, ha! just a little humor there on the last one. Anyway, I've developed my palate and barista skills to the point where I can pull a good, consistent shot (I tend to favor 18g ristrestti.) I probably drink about 50% straight shots and 50% cappuccini, macchiatti, and breves, with an occasional americano thrown in (usually when I'm running low on milk.) My milk-pouring skills are not the strongest, but I'm getting better, and can pour a decent heart most of the time. So overall, espresso is a fun hobby for me at this point, and I post fairly frequently on coffeegeek.com under the username drtzali.
