Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I started working in a family coffee shop when I was 12 in Illinois, moved to Arizona, where I worked in 3 more coffee houses over 6 years, one of those also family owned. Then I moved to Portland, OR, got jobs at Village Coffee and Grand Cenral Baking Co. In the last year, I have attended a Stumptown Barista training class, and have gained experience making coffee for some of the most critical customers yet, also being extremely spoiled by Portland's coffee culture. I've been making coffee since before puberty, and it is my life. I love it, and am always looking to improve my skills.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Anywhere and everywhere. I would especially love to see coffee in it's home environment; meet the farmers, see the culture.
About Me:
I'm 21 years old, and I've been a barista for about half my life. I grew up with traveling artist gypsies parents, who's entire life force is that of coffee. I enjoy multi-tasking and organizing...I'm a musician (cello) persuing my associates of science at PCC.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
Teaching people about coffee, and being the customer's therapist. Like a bartender, only no liquor.
