About Me:
My interest with coffee started in August of 2009. I was part of founding a microfinance organization named Union MicroFinanza. We began working very closely with the coffee farmers which has opened up many doors into the coffee world
About My Company:
Our organization has work to maintain a complete seed to cup process with our farmers. Through agro-education classes we work with farmers in 32 small mountain villages to improve their growing techniques. We have worked to introduce everything from the proper techniques for making and applying organic fertilizers, to improvements at the processing plant. We then ship and market the coffee and use all proceeds to supply microloans and the classes to the farmers. We have been excited to see great improvements of the coffee overall as well as the prosperity that has been created in the communities.
