About Me:
I've had a liking for coffee ever since I was a little girl; my dad used to laugh at me and ask me if I was just trying "to be like a grown-up" because of my strange habit at such a young age. Every morning throughout my high school career I drank a cup or two of slow drip coffee. The summer after I graduated high school I applied for a job at the coffee shop in Hastings & wound up working there for a year. I loved being a barista so much that I transfered to the Hastings coffee shop in the town where I would attend college. Unfortunately the manager of the store and I didn't get along. I guess she felt imposed upon becasue I was sent to her rather than her personally hiring me. Anyway, I ended up leaving and have missed being a barista ever since!! I have an espresso machine at home and still love everything to do with coffee. My dream is to one day open a coffee shop of my own where I can match people to their perfect drink & put to use all the secrets & tricks of the trade I love so much :)
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
Suggesting a drink to someone who is looking to try something new & watching their face as they try my suggestion. It's very rewarding :)
