What is your position in the coffee industry?

barista, barista trainer, coffee enthusiast, consultant

Where are you located? ( City and Country )

    New Orleans, USA

How many years have you been in the industry?

    5

If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?

    maybe

Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.

Started as a barista in Seattle. Began work as a barista trainer at a small bistro. Moved to San Diego and worked for a coffee roaster for about 3 years. I trained the staffs of our wholesale accounts--stretching from San Diego to Los Angeles--worked as a consultant for new businesses, conducted a class for members of Slow Food San Diego, travelled to SF to cup new crops with owner and roaster.

What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?

In the US: I'd love to check out the coffee scene in Chicago. I've been to New York many times but not since Stumptown entered the picture. Getting ready to move to New Orleans for a bit--what's happening there, I wonder...anything? Outside the US: Just returned from Europe, spent about 10 days drinking espresso like water in Italy. I WILL GO BACK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

    About Me:

I'm a theatre artist--writer, actor, producer--first and a coffee enthusiast second. Co-founded an arts collective--loving called Heart Hustle Collective--with 6 other artists hailing from San Francisco, NOLA & Brooklyn.

    About My Company:

Currently without a coffee home. Returned from travelling abroad and getting ready to travel the US before planting roots in New Orleans.

What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?

There's always more to know, always more to taste, always more to smell. I have the most fun geeking out, teaching people about espresso preparation.
