Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
Currently taking a hiatus to drive from Illinois, to Arizona, to Oregon, to Washington, to Alaska. We'll see where I end up in the coffee business in 6 months. I'd love to get into a roasting works and learn about production. The more I get into roast profiles cupping, the more I wish I had some knowledge of how the beans got that way.

I'm a Washington state girl that got wrapped up in living in Central Illinois. I got lucky and found the opportunity to learn about an industry that is rapidly advancing, and meet people who are passionate about a product and the people who want it.
I've had some amazing experiences by participating in my region's Barista Competitions, and once at the USBC in Long Beach, CA.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
People! I've met some of the most amazing people through day-to-day conversations, and through sharing information when visiting other shops.
