Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I have been working at Batdorf and Bronson in Olympia for one year as a barista. They have provided extensive training in all aspects of drink making as well as tasting, identifying and profiling cups.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Specifically Germany, France, Denmark, Switzerland and Spain although I am open to any European country as I will be travelling through the continent starting in early May.
About Me:
I'm Berta, a nineteen year old coffee enthusiast and barista currently based in Olympia. I have been obsessed with learning about coffee since my mom bought me an Ibrik for Christmas 5 years ago! The training I've recently received at Batdorf and Bronson has inspired me to pursue a career in the coffee industry and explore different views on the business throughout the world. I will be leaving the country on my first trip abroad in mid May and plan to travel Europe. I'm extremely excited to immerse myself in new cultures!
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
The variety of aspects you can learn. There's always something new, whether it's taking on roasting or learning new latte art!
