What is your position in the coffee industry?

    barista, coffee enthusiast

Where are you located? ( City and Country )

    Kearney, NE US

How many years have you been in the industry?

    3

If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?

    yes

Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.

I have worked at Barista's Daily Grind In Kearney Nebraska and was trained by a professional trainer and two-time USBC winner. I know my espresso and classy drip brews. I have I can do some limited latte art and am quite enthusiastic about learning all I can in the coffee world. I have a bachelor's degree in music with an emphasis in business, so the business side of the barista world is also something I am interested in. The coffee industry has treated me well and I am excited to be a part of it.

What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?

I will be moving to Portland, OR in a month, so I am looking forward to working in the Pacific Northwest as a barista.

    About Me:

I am a hard-working, accountable person who learns quickly. As the son of two English teachers, I consider my communication skills to be one of my more natural abilities, and have shown to be great skills when working in a classy part of the service industry, allowing me to speak with clarity when discussing a subject as sophisticated as the Barista world can be. In college, I played jazz guitar, cello, upright bass, and piano and performed with the Kearney Symphony Orchestra for two years. Though I haven't been formally trained, I have served wine and upscale appetizers, which allowed me to develop my palate and learn a more one-on-one style of serving fine food and drink. I am friendly!

    About My Company:

Though it is not 'my' company, Barista's Daily Grind is most-definitely the best cup of coffee for many, many miles in any direction. Hands down.

What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?

As opposed to many other areas of the service industry, the coffee arena is home to a more sophiticated clientele, and thus is a place where excellence can be achieved. Similar to the wine industry, the people, subject matter, and drinks are more enjoyable than anywhere else.
