What is your position in the coffee industry?

    barista

Where are you located? ( City and Country )

    Auburn, AL 36830

How many years have you been in the industry?

    Just a couple months

Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.

I am still very much a "baby barista," but I have always had a passion for coffee. I grew up with an uncle in the wine business so I have been developing my palate for coffee before I really knew of its true complexity.

What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?

Oh man. Almost anywhere if money wasn't an issue. I love experiencing and learning about different cultures.

    About Me:

I will graduate from Auburn University in the Spring of 2011 with a Bachelor's of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. Upon graduation would like to enter into a career in middle school ministry. I really just love getting to know people. That's how I got so hooked on coffee to begin with. You start meeting enough friends over a cup of coffee, and you get hooked. For me, my passions just managed to stem beyond just ordering and drinking the stuff. I am learning new things every day and I still can't get enough coffee in me.

    About My Company:

I work with an incredible staff at The Gnu's Room in Auburn, Alabama. It is a coffeehouse/used bookstore that is full of character. We have our coffee fresh roasted in house by Mama Mocha's Coffee Roastery, which is located in the back of the store. We make all our drinks Italian style and pull our espresso double ristretto style. I work with incredibly experienced baristas, and am on a hell of a learning curve. I am always up for new tips techniques, and advice.

What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?

    The community...enough said.
