What is your position in the coffee industry?

    barista

Where are you located? ( City and Country )

    Bothell, Wa

How many years have you been in the industry?

    2

If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?

    yes

Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.

I have been making coffee for about two years, but have gotten more into it in the last year or so. I work at the Lyons Den which uses Caffe D'arte. Everyone working at the shop makes coffee and tries to do latte art. but its hard when people keep ordering 20 oz. nf white chocolate mochas. i started out doing hearts and then moved onto rosettas. now im trying tulips.

What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?

Well I am in a good location for coffee already. But I have been to Portland a few dozen times and it is also great. I am going to Europe this summer- france spain and italy and am really excited to see the difference between the types of coffee and their roasters in comparison to what i have already tried.

    About Me:

Right now I am taking some time off from my coffee shop because of personal reasons. But I really want to get back into it. Perhaps in a more serious atmosphere.

    About My Company:

The Lyons' Den is a great place where people can just come hang out from dawn till dusk. It atracts people of all ages but we see a lot of teens and tweens. my only issue is that the menu seems super ocd- egg rolls, paninis, salad, bubble tea, baked goods and oh yeah... coffee. Caffee D'arte is a really good match for us though because they are super helpfull in getting all of our employees to be not only good coffee makers, but good latte artists as well. we use their capri blend for our latte making.

What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?

    latte art and the flavors
