Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
The shop I work at, Lazio's Coffee Bar & Roasterie, is one of the only coffee shops in Topeka that buys and roasts it's own beans (other than, of course, PT's). I applied when a friend of mine, then working at Lazio's, asked if I would be interested in a job there. I was a little naive to the coffee world, and it has since become a full-blown addiction and passion of mine.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Definately Seattle. It's always good to see where our coffee culture sorta took off from. Lazio, Italy, too. It's where our store gets it's name, and I would like very much to see it. I wouldn't mind going to any farm in any country, I'd be happy all the same.
About Me:
I'm a pretty chill guy. I'm very serious when it comes to my job, but I can also be very loose and fun. I try to strive for the my absolute best in a cup and hope to own my own outfit someday. But for now, I just like working at Lazio's, hanging out with friends, and cruising around the northeast part of Kansas looking for good coffee.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
How big and complex the whole culture really is. It's actually quite daunting when I think about it.
