About Me:
Woodworker, mechanical engineer, musician, and coffee lover! We roast beans, make espresso at home on a LM gs/3, and feel spoiled and lucky by all the amazing coffee available in SF.
About My Company:
Tree To Table is a San Francisco based furniture company that manages all phases of furniture design including cutting and milling raw lumber, designing custom furniture and building the final product. The majority of the wood in the company's inventory is California claro walnut and bastogne walnut (a hybrid of claro and English walnut). The company can source other types of wood or mill wood available at the client site. Tree to Table is a husband and wife team. Dan Ratner is a licensed arborist who began milling wood at age 14. Dan has a M.S. from Berkeley in materials science and uses his engineering training to develop custom designs for clients. Celia Saino left the corporate world in 2008 to pursue a full time career in woodworking after studying woodworking and building furniture for eight years as a passionate hobbyist.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
Espresso, the technology, and the many interesting people who work in it.
