What is your position in the coffee industry?

    barista, barista trainer

Where are you located? ( City and Country )

    Austin, TX

How many years have you been in the industry?

    5

If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?

    yes

Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.

Bikes + Stumptown Coffee + Mast Brothers Chocolate.

What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?

I am welcomed to cities of all kinds, West coast being higher up on my list, but I would be open to some bigger urban areas. Country-wise, I am really open to whatever, it's nice to have a change of culture!

    About Me:

I'm from Austin, but I have a craving for traveling and seeing proof that Austin's not the end-all-be-all for "cool cities" to live! I like being apart of the cycling community here, bikes have let me grow in the person I am, like coffee, too. I got a degree in nutrition but clearly it was the sensory, biochem aspects that caught my greater interests (and my lacking desire to be an FDA-Spouting dietitian.) I worked at a specialty shop during college and it planted slow ripening seedling that's now consumed me. I originally got into coffee for the love of dexterous work, and just the smell. Now I'm in it for the community, taste and continuous journey it holds. My free time usually involves writing, photography, and walking around.

    About My Company:

Juan Pelota is a really unique set up. We get to be a cafe, in a bike shop, in the heart of downtown Austin. We keep things fun with all the shop rides,SXSW Shows, bike events, and unique characters that come into the store. We serve up Stumptown coffee, which has been a great switch for us! We put a little piece of love from Austin, in every cup.

What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?

The endless knowledge to gain, and people to meet.
