    Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.

    The coffee shop where I work in Chicago really focuses on quality coffee. We have a vigorous training program which I recently completed. I was implemented with an advanced knowledge of espresso and espresso-based drink skills including preparation, cupping-skills and origin knowledge.


    What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?

    I'm down for pretty much anything.


    About Me:

    I'm an audio major at columbia college in Chicago. I love film, music, art and coffee. Working for the Italian Coffee Bar has given me a better understanding and appreciation for the world of coffee and everything that comes with it.


    About My Company:

    I work for the Italian Coffee Bar in Chicago. As I said, our company really focuses on quality coffee and the training program gives all the baristas an advanced knowlege of the product and skills that are involved in becoming a true barista. Sometimes dealing with people who don't understand what we're about and think that what we should offer them should consist more of milk and sugar gets a little discouraging. But to quote my boss "if we're not making quality coffee, then what are we doing here?" It all comes down to changing the implemented paradigm of what coffee is supposed to be and educating the consumer on what good quality drinks are meant to taste like.


    What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?

    Being pround of what these two hands can make and meeting other people with the same passion
