Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I'm new to the industry in every way. I am just now getting to the point where I can consistently pull good shots and pour average latte art. I took a basic espresso 101 course with CCC. Next up, brew science. That being said, I also self educate myself constantly.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Guatemala, Honduras, Papua New Guinea...for coffee reasons. Anything in the states. I need to learn roasting, and better barista skills. I plan on opening a roaster in my home-town at some point.
About Me:
I'm a performer. I'm a musician. But I've been a business man since birth.
About My Company:
Daily Grind was a coffee franchise about 5 years ago, with a good national reputation. It ended for one reason or another. However, in the release of the franchise, the company gave previous unit owners the rights to hold the name as long as they remained in that location. We purchased the rights to "Daily Grind" and moved to a better location as of this year, May 29th, 2013.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
It's an old trade that is still growing in popularity world-wide. I enjoy the community coffee shop, and how it represents change and progress. A beacon of hope.
