Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
Like so many baristas, I got my start with the titan of the coffee giants, Starbucks. Like so few, I fell in love with actual coffee and the art of the barista, and I feel my journey has only just begun, though I left the siren behind long ago.

About Me:
I became a "barista" at Starbucks in 2005 and became passionate about what they considered coffee shortly afterward. It was not until several years later that I finally stepped forward to discover a wide world of coffee out of sight of the Siren's eyes, a world of waves and tamps and competitions on scales I had never imagined.

I work for Mike Colston at Element Coffee in Camarillo, the only shop slinging third wave coffee between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, CA
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
When it all comes together, on those rarest of occasions, and the world around you slows down while you take that first sip of that wonderful drip, shot, capp, or mac.
