About Me:
I worked for 20 years in the restaurant business, mostly in positions related to store & corporate operations, before Bruce Milletto invited me to start the Bellissimo Coffee InfoGroup in 1992. I have been performing consulting services for those starting, or already owning coffee business for the past 15 years. During my career in the coffee business, typical services that I have provided are: • financial projections for proposed coffee businesses (I've done more projections than anyone in the industry - hundreds!) • assistance with location selection & lease negotiations • ergonomic store design and layout (cafes, drive thrus, 100s!) • equipment recomendations & sourcing • menu development • consumable products recomendations • small wares & consumable products opening orders • employee training & assistance with store openings (I have been phyically involved with the openings of approximately 100 coffee bars) • assistance with existing operations (identifying problems and creating game plans to move the business to efficient, profitable operation) In addition to consulting services, I co created, with Bruce Milletto, many of Bellissimo's core educational products, such as: • Espresso 101 (DVD) • Espresso 501 (DVD) • Everything But Coffee (DVD) • Bean Business Basics (600+ page business start up manual) • Opening a Specialty Coffee Drive Thru (book - drive thru specific manual to be used with Bean Business Basics)
