About Me:

My coffee roots trace back to the early 80s when I trained with Alfred Peet at the original location in Berkeley and worked at the Menlo Park Store. Loved learning the nuances of coffee and "talking shop" with customers eager to expand their knowledge. On this side of the coffee counter I admit to a Peets loyalty but love discovering new places, especially when traveling. Currently I write for a coffee website, www.baristas.com where I review coffee subscription services and the coffee they send. It has been a great excuse to continue expanding my coffee knowledge, and reach out to coffee gurus in the Portland, Oregon hotspot who assist in evaluating the coffees.
