    7 months

If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?

    yes

Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.

Just 7 months ago I started working at my first barista job, and I'm lucky to have gotten the chance to work at a top-notch shop. My manager is very dedicated to helping all of the baristas with their skills, and to give anyone extra attention if they want it. It feels like I'm being paid to learn about coffee. Although I just started a few months ago in coffee, I've been working hard to learn as much as I can. I feel more confident about tasting notes in coffee, and am slowly becoming more comfortable with the nuances of dialing in. My latte art is relatively consistent, but I still have a long way to go I think.

What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?

Portland, OR Seattle, WA Chicago, IL NYC, NY Germany Switzerland

    About Me:

I'm a recent graduate of the University of Michigan from the School of Music in classical vocal performance. I also am the manager of WCBN, Umich's college radio station. I love video games, and video game music. I also work at a library, and think they are rad.

    About My Company:

I work at a local coffee roaster/cafe. We have more recently started focusing on single-origin espresso more, and just bought a Slayer. We also have a variety of brewing methods (Chemex, Clever, siphon, etc.), to enhance the varieties of coffee we carry. We have a pretty large shop, and are in a popular part of town, and so we are also dedicated to educating our customers in coffee to the best of our abilities. We offer classes, and routinely are striving to help people know what they want, and to be able to articulate it.

What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?

Smelling like coffee when I go home
