    About Me:

I am a newbie Barista studying to receive my bachelors degree in Business Management. I love working in the hospitality field and hope that I can obtain a management position with the company that I currently work with.

    About My Company:

The customer comes first at Daily Grind. We strive to improve our customers' day with an exceptional coffee experience. Customer satisfaction is our highest priority, and we will do whatever we can to make the customer happy. As franchise owners we are committed to adhering to excellent business practices. Our goals include meeting the highest standards of quality control and operational efficiency. Our dedication to these standards will maximize customer satisfaction and long-term profitability of our business. The Daily Grind Team cares deeply about our employees and our community. We commit this team to providing a safe, clean and positive working environment for everyone in our stores. We will continue to make active and positive contributions to the communities where we live and work. We join together and share in our commitment to make Daily Grind the best coffee house, not only in our town, but across the entire USA. And the Rest...... Is History In the early 90’s, Ed Chapman and his family spent several years in Seattle, Washington. This was where and when he fell in love with the coffee industry. While there, he participated in seminars and training given by some of the west coast’s best coffee companies and gained a diverse knowledge of the coffee industry. While visiting the Chapmans in Seattle, Rick Rawlings and his family also got a taste of the specialty coffee experience. The journey began. After returning to Winchester, Virginia, Ed and Rick began planning the first coffee house in the area. While eating at a local food establishment, Rick & Ed ‘jokingly’ made an offer for the restaurant. The owner accepted and Daily Grind opened its doors a short three months later in November of 1995. This first location in Old Town Winchester was a hit and soon there was interest throughout the area for this type of relaxing atmosphere along with a great cup of coffee. After nearly five years of development into a multi-store chain, Ed and Rick decided to turn their operation into a franchise in order to give individuals who wanted to own and operate their own business a chance to become a part of Daily Grind. This was when our true expansion began. Daily Grind is now a fast-growing franchise operation.

What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?

    The aroma and the comraderie.
