About Me:
The coffee world is opening itself up to me everyday. Really; it is. I live in a smaller, corn-and-soybean-surrounded, Minnesotan town. I have worked at two coffee shops for a total of about four years. Only now, in the last several months, do I feel confident in calling myself a barista. The shift has happend: it's not about the job anymore... it's about the bean. Amazing. And I am lucky enough to work at a shop where this shift has been encouraged and nourished. Recently I have been provided with books and resources and hands-on practice time; it's wonderful. There is so much out there, so much to learn! So here I am, looking for more... Proof that "the bean" in southern Minnesota doesn't always mean the soybean.
