About Me:
My brother and I started our own shop almost 10 years ago in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. We were born and raised there, but spent about 10 years in Boise where we developed a strong passion for good coffee fueled by a friend that owned a drive thru. When we both relocated in AZ, we found a seriously lacking traditional coffee house atmosphere in our hometown. So we opened ours in January of 2001, Java Rush. Our desire for good espresso and a great spot quickly became a passion, one we learned from our roaster, Cafe Darte in Seattle. The store is still in operation today and doing well. Both my brother and I have moved back to the Northwest, him in Bend and me back in Boise. I work part time for a new store that just opened and he snowboards all day at Mt. Bachelor. I wanted to stay in the business, but am having a really hard time working for someone else.
