Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.

I worked for an independent coffee roaster and coffeehouse in Corpus Christi, Texas beginning in 2009. This is where my coffee education began. I was a barista and nagged the owners to take me to their roaster as well until they did so. I have been researching and self-teaching myself since.

About Me:

I graduated with a BA in History and Political Science from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi where I played softball. After my eligability was up for softball, I began working at Cafe Calypso while finishing school. I continued to work as a barista at Cafe Calypso after graduation because of my passion for coffee and creating a high quality product that people truly appreciate. I have a strong desire to continue learning and working in the coffee business. At the moment, I am working with a start up coffee roasting company in the great Chicago area.
